Is it the same.....or any different? Id assume i should still take my protein shake as it might be even more important for recovery on a day where im letting the body rest?

I usually keep carbs to a minimum on non-training days, with the exception of leafy green shit. I also consume about 200-300 less calories, but I'm cutting at the moment.

it just so happens that my off days usually turn out to be my "carb-up" days

i should point out, though, that my hard cardio falls on these rest days, too
