Is there a specific or standard dimension one should resize to? I just took around 215+ pics from my trip to Vegas and I need to resize them down from the max res of 32xx x 20xx. I will post them once I resize. :naughty:

I'm not talking about printing, I am talking about web viewing. I want something where the quality isn't reduced dramatically but it's easy to view/look at

800x600 probably :dunno: that's usually what most websites are designed to be viewed at, but you could probably get away with 1024x768

    1024 is more widely used

3072*2048 reduced to 1024 wide is 683 tall, not 768 :ugh:

    3072*2048
    1024*683

and 800 wide is not 600 tall, it's 533 tall
    800*533

resolution in windows != resolution on a camera

I resize mine all to 750 pixels so people can't use them as desktop wallpapers. :hsughr:

Unless it's taken with a Foveon, it's actually an average of one pixel and a couple surrounding ones. :noes:

I usually do mine with the longest/tallest side equal to 800px.

:noes: that pixel is actually still a pixel... it's just comprised of the information from a number of adjacent photosites :noes:

You'd be suprised! I get e-mails everyday from people asking for bigger pictures of my lenses and other desk items I take pictures of so they can use as desktop wallpapers.
