i just replaced my 8100, and before i go any further in terms of getting rid of it, i want to reset it to clear all of my phone book and call history out of there.

does anyone know how i'd go about this?

the default security code should be the last 4 digits of your phone number. Look under settings/security or something like that and look for master clear/reset.

take it into a Sprint store and ask to have it refirbished. it's free, it shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes and it will erase everything on your phone that was not there from the factory, not including any software or PRL updates you've had done.
