June, but I can move it up if I decide to go sooner. I want at least a first class PFT score by the time I ship.

Awesome bro! I'll have to write to you while you're in boot camp (trust me, letters, chow, and hitting the rack will be the most important things to you in boot). I'll be able to give you plenty of useful tips.

So, what MOS did you go for? and did you go active or reserve?

Believe me, you won't regret your decision of joining. When you're in boot camp you'll wonder why the hell you did it, but once you get out and you're a pussy magnet, you'll love it.

When I ship out and get my exact address and whatnot i'll give it to you and everyone else that I know and trust here in teh barracks... bigfodee might want revenge though so I dunno about giving it to him :bigthumb:.

I'm going active duty, I signed as an 03xx with the UV option (MCSF), they made me sign a 5 year contract instead of 4 years because of it. Not that this factored into my decision to take the MCSF option, but I heard that all MCSF Marines get 0311 no matter what, so I was glad to hear that.

I definitely won't regret it, back in July I was 235 pounds and worked my ass off, now i'm 188. Still trying to lose more weight, I want to be around 175, but right now i'm really focusing on getting my PFT score up, my goal is AT LEAST a first class before I ship off in 0606 :x:.

Did you get your MOS assigned yet at SOI?

i was about the same.... except i had a lil more fat. i was in really good shape when i left tho. i could do about 22 pullups in fact. but then when i got there i could only do 14 (youll see why when you get there) and when i left i could only do 17, but now im up to 25. i.. for some reason... didnt get very much sleep and got quarterdecked a lot at boot camp :squint:

ill tell you now... start running. theres so much stress and activity that not everyone's body can keep up, which is where you learn how to adapt. i would say the biggest favor you can do for yourself is to go running about 3 days a week. oh btw, if you find a DI fucks with you, he's gonna keep doing it until you manage to give him the impression that you dont give a fuck about getting quarterdecked anymore. have fun with that :)

this isnt really a great picture cause i had been working out every other day pretty hard when it was taken, but then i kept getting sick or injured and had to rebuild it the hard way at boot camp

This might have had something to do with why you didn't get much sleep :bowrofl: :
