Hi everyone, I am writing an essay on the benefits of Anaerobic exercise as opposed to Aerobic exercise for fat loss, and I couldn't think of a better source of people to seek help from. In particular I am trying to find professional organisations ot publications which stress aerobic exercise as being the way to go to lose weight. I am also trying to trace the origin of this myth that aerobic is the only way to go.

I find that when you ask the average person what you should do in the way of exercise to lost weight the usual consensus is running or cycling or some form of aerobics, I'm trying to find where this way of thinking comes from. If anyone has any ideas, or has thought this way in the past and remembers why I would appreciate any input you could offer.
    Cheers.

when you take the total overall caloric consuption into account, anerobic workouts (weightlifting), if done correctly, have a far higher caloric use
