I've got probably at least 100 comic books and 2-3 binders full of comic cards stored at my parents house. All the comic books have been sealed in plastic comic bags and the cards have been in plastic card holder pages for ~10yrs since i last touched them so i'm pretty sure they're all in very good condition.

Would it be worth it to try and sell them? Would i just take them to a local comic shop? Would i get more for them trying to sell them individually on ebay or on online forums?

How old are the comics? Unless they are quite old, or there are some rare issues in there, most comics are never going to be worth much more than their cover price. I think you'll find that a lot of comic book shops won't be that eager to take them off your hands, unless you're selling them for next to nothing. A lot of back issues just sit around and never sell, and comic book shops don't generally seem to be swimming in extra cash.

Honestly though, we'd need to know what you've got in that collection in order to have a better idea what it's worth.

One zillion dollars. Or $200 at most.

Probably $200ish if you sit down and list each of them individually on eBay. Whatever doesn't sell first round just throw into a lot. LCBS won't give you much since they buy their supply from resalers.

when i go back to visit for thanksgiving i'll bring them all back with me and itemize them out. I know there's price guides for comic books but are there price guides for the cards too?

Are cards worth more if you have a complete set. I have a complete DC set from like '94. I have no idea if it's worth anything.

they're all gonna be from the late 80s-early 90s, the only very unique one i remember is a foreign comic book that my grandfather bought when he was in europe during ww2.

There were some good one's in the 80-90's from the Uncanny X-men, Hulk also. Like everybody has said it all depends on what you have.

nevermind, i checked ebay quick and the cards sell for crap, like $20 for the whole set so i'll probably just hang on to those.

ebay is your best price guide if you're gonna hock them there. If you're gonna take them to a local comic shop, perhaps pick up a mag that calls itself the "comic book price guide" I think. Wizard just has recent titles, and is very incomplete.
