So its it true the best way to build up your mid section and tone your gut is to:

    - Weighted crunches
    - Deadlifts
    - Squats

    Is that right?

HEAVY cable crunches (the one where it looks like you're on your knees trying to blow yourself) strengthened my abs and added a good amount of weight to my squat.

    Irrelevant to your question? Maybe.

PS - Toning your gut is done by eating correctly.

I have a bulking gut. :wtc:
But I still need to bulk more cause I'm naturally smaller frame.

Is there not another way to lose to gut without losing my size? (since I have put on a bit of weight granted its probably alot of fat)

Are you saying you want to keep bulking everywhere but you want to lose bodyfat in your gut? Tough to do broly. This is why you see a lot of people bulk/cut in cyclical fashion. One has to take a backseat to the other (with obvious exceptions for newbs, chemical help, etc).

you're just going to lose useless weight anyways, what's it matter? health wise you'd be better off 200 lbs @ 10% than 250 lbs at 20%, even if you do look bigger

Abs are made in the gym, but a 6-pack is made in the kitchen.
