Very cool, but I wonder if the standard Abarth will really have the performance to keep Americans interested. Even the hotter EsseEsse model just barely matches a Mini Cooper S in power. :hs:

She bought a turbo beetle when they came out. She dumped that for a mini cooper s. I'm sure she'll want this too

fiat cars are just plain-jane italian cars. nothing special about them.
and that 500 is real small in person. doubt it will be a hit.

As a Mini Cooper competitor, I think I'd rather have a Swift Sport than a 500 Abarth. No telling if the Fiat will fall apart or not. :o

Seems somewhat respectable for a sub-$20k hatch.

You are just upset that you couldnt possibly afford the insurance on a pickup. Now go drive your 1.2l econo boxes.

    Fix it again Tony...

When was the last time they sold Fiats here?

Thats pretty reasonable for the sport model?
Im assuming the base would come in closer to $15k or lower.

Yeah, but for at least a little while, the Abarth will be the only model. So it's $18k or nothing.

I could insure a pickup but as for running it (fuel costs 4x what you pay ..) and parking it - no. They don't make spaces anywhere near big enough for anything bigger than a 5 series BMW here and even that's pushing it. I have trouble parking my Civic Coupe in town sometimes :ugh:
