ok. I've got an oldish APC smartups 700.

    it takes 2 12V 7AH BB BP7 batteries.

now, first, it seems like 7ah 12V batteries are slightly crippled versions of the 7.2AH 12V batteries, that they have the same dimensions, they're just a little cheaper for companies like APC... so, should I ignore the 7.2 options or not?

then, I've been looking at panasonic's offerings. their betteries seem to be a lot better then all the others. their regular standby batteries are rated for 6 years, then they have extended life 10 year batteries, and then they have tall high performance batteries.

should I resist the temptation to try to wrangle a pair of the high performance ones? should I go with the 10 year ones?

    thanks
