I signed up last night..
Anyone in local NYC area have any questions?
How much? Where do you live?
i live in queens/work in manhattan
210 a month for blue belt class which is the beginners class
it is a one year commit and they expect at least twice a week attendance
75 sign up fee
and 100 bucks if you want a gi from them
also you're allowed 144 classes in one year but i asked what if i end up going like 4 times a week and they said they won't care about that.. they would just be happy that i showed up that many times.
i know they have nice facilities, but damn. that's a lot of money they're asking for.
it is.. but i think it's comparable to most places in nyc.. I've heard that alliance charges 180.. I think militiech in LI charges about 200 as well. It made sense for me because of it's location and it has a great reputation
Does Master K teach Muay Thai there still?
as I've found out, gracie barra is equally focused on being a successful business as it is being a reputable barra/dojo/club.
I am not sure.. I didn't ask about the MT classes.. I will find out on Monday and let you know.
lol that is true.. studios are like 1800 a month..
yep I met john yesterday! Really cool guy.. saw Rolles teaching a class and Igor lounging..
i'm pumped.. i'll keep you guys updated
I'm looking for a combat sambo gym around the NY area, my schools judo club is getting boring.
its totally cheap compared to nyc schools..
i forget the price.. but he emailed it to me so send him an email
i've never been but i heard nothing but great great things.
i was supposed to roll in the renzo gracie invitational this weekend, but i was the only kid from my school to sign up, so it wasn't worth the trip =(
