$45 pickup on Friday and Return Monday.
    Mounted on my 5d. :noes:
I'm walking the site a few days before to get an idea of light and architecture.
But damn...I'm excited to use this beast.

Other lens is my 50 1.4, but I have a feeling the 85 will stay on 70% of the time.

 to the balluhs who actually bought this lens.

I love mine. Probable the sharpest lens in my bag. Just be aware that shooting at f/1.2-1.8 the DOF is razor thin. This can be nice but it can also bite you in the butt if you want both eyes in focus on a close up shot.

Local shop wants FULL RETAIL CASH DEPOSIT + renting fee + insurance to rent out glass.

But yes 85L is something else, just beware that it takes a while to get use to using it, its not like a 24-70L where you can pick it up and fire away.

Correct. This man speaks truth. Be very aware if you are under f2 when positioning the couple to make sure their eyes are the same distance from you.
