A&P rent strobist dvds?

    anyone know if these are available for rent at like blockbuster? there was a Dl link but i think those were missing some stuff....

    I doubt at BB, but I bet you can request them on Netflix.

    Me too, but the strobist DVDs are just plain boring.

    i dont think they are too bad...maybe its to basic if already know what hes talking about ..but for me its a good place to start......anyone know how to request from netflix...they dont even have a contact email...:squint:

    got it...requested at netflix...if you have netflix request it so we have a better chance at getting it

    the DL link wasn't missing anything, and now that it's been out longer there are probably quite a few... but honestly, don't waste you're time or money. There's nothing on those discs that you can't pick up from reading the strobist site. As mentioned, the one light DVD is a much better learning tool than the strobist DVD

    strobist dvd are kinda meh.

    They make the most sense if you already know a bit about lighting, but at that point, you probably don't really need to watch them anymore.

    Its more just for the real hardcore fans to get an extra dose of the same thing you get free at strobist.

    But the real problem is there is zero presentation value, no organization to it.

    It looks like someone just ran a handycam during a seminar. Fine for what it is, but not really something that you NEED to watch/get.

    And personally, I love Hobby and what he's done, but these DVDs blow pretty hard.

    that's exactly what it is. It's just a video recording of one of his lighting seminars.
