Anyone do these regularly? I'm just starting bill starr's 5x5 routine and I am doing all of the primary lifts exactly as he's laid them out, but I figured it would be ok to tweak the accessory stuff a bit and substituted sit ups with renegade rows. They ended up being WAY more demanding than I expected them to be.

    I'd stick with the BOR's.

I'm doing the BOR's. this is more of a core exercise than a lat exercise despite the name. I just replaced situps with these. I'm only using 15lb dumbbells and I'm rowing over 100 lbs. I'm just doing 3-4 sets of these at the end of the three primary lifts.

I was a bit confused why you would sub them for the BORs. Core seems more appropriate.

Looks real gay. Don't see how that would be of any benefit over real DB rows using non female ammounts of weight.

It's not really a rowing exercise...The rowing action is to force you to keep your body rigid in order to stay up. the weight of the dumbbell just makes it more difficult.
