Having sold my R33 GT-R, I have just taken delivery of my new 2005 RenaultSport Clio 182 Cup... the undisputed king of the hot hatch...

I've only done 40miles sofar so as I get some more driving done I'll write a more indepth review of the car... so far it has exceeded all of my expections, the chassis is awesome, extremely responsive to any input, the gearing is spot on, the suspension is firm and the car feels very stable and planted through corners.

Pics below, the real colour is much deeper and doesn't photograph well, the stripes are a bit boy racer'ish but they complement the colour well and complete the look.. i was a bit unsure about them when I ordered the car but i'm very please with how it turned out:

Thats what i would like next! Minus the white stripes and possibly in dark blue.

I've got the Renault Clio 1.5 dci and i love it so a 182 would be amazing :hsd:

it's actually quite a dark blue, it just doesn't photograph very well under sunlight, this pic is closer to the real colour

can I request dash and gauges pics at night? :hs::x:

what are your impressions on the engine? I drove a modded 172 executive and loved it, the idle was a bit lumpy because the cam mod and the chip...

    I'm definitely drooling over a regular 182 :o

    Love the 182 Cup.

Still not entirely convinced by the Gordini racing stripes, but out of any hot hatch its the one I'd choose.

theres only 4 colours available on the 182 down here, racing blue (same as mine), arctic blue (darker metallic blue), titanium silver and black gold (black metallic with gold flecks)..

also down here we only have the normal 182 and a 182 'cup', which is just a normal 182 with the cup chassis pack (we dont get the stripped out 182 cup that the uk has)

However Renault Aus has just released a RSC 182 Cup F1 limited edition (30 cars total), which is what my car is. This is just a 182 with cup chassis and spoiler packs, racing blue with the stripes and a plaque signed by the renault F1 drivers... the plaque is nothing more than a marketing exercise and looks pretty ordinary... i ordered it merely to get the cup spoiler pack as I already wanted a racing blue 182 cup, i was on the fence about the stripes, but they do look pretty good in person... they are only vinyl decals so once I get sick of them I'll probably remove them

i'll try get some pics of the dash and shit tonight

    whats a 172 executive?

the engine is pretty sweet, i imagine it will loosen up a bit more as it wears but it still revs pretty free now, pulls pretty strongly through to redline. it feels good to be driving small non turbo car again, the rb26 was a sweet engine, but you really needed to drive it hard to get the most from it.

 I like the stripes :o

the 172 executive was an uk version only, it was a regular 172 with all the toys (leather seats, sunroof, abs, leccy windows, air bags.....) fully loaded.

Looks good mate, I like the stripes.

I'm in a similar position to you, I'm also selling my turbocharged Nissan for a hot hatch. I've just purchased a Peugeot 206 GTI 180 and am currently selling my Nissan 200SX.

So far I'm loving it, the handling is awesome, I've just clocked up 700 kms on mine. I'll post some pics up soon!

Good to see another Aussie enjoying the hot hatches.
