Shouldn't spin freely unless there is a lock on the head itself to stop it from rotating

the washers on the bolt just spin. cant get those off. I thought it would twist off too but having no luck as for 2 wrenches, there is nothing to put them around and i dont have a 3 inch wrench

Ok so I got it off. I loosened the bolt on top and then I got to see the bearing/grease in there. I was like woops wrong part, put it back on, then spun tripod around holding the gray part and the complete head came off with no problem. Only thing now is that it doesnt really seem to spin as easily as it did before.....? And now the second i put any force counter clockwise, the whole head comes off instead of the tripod rotating...is that right?

Okay, actually it barley spins at all now and it just comes off completely if i turn it counter clockwise. Did i break it?

Yeah. I dont know why it was coming off at first. Once I seperated the head from the bearing and re assembled it came off like it was no ones buisness though. Bizzare
