I'm thinking of removing the suzuki stickers from the side of my tank and rear plastics. What are the chances that I can salvage the paint so you can't see the outline of the stickers?

    pic for reference

Do the older bikes have clear over the tank stickers like the newer ones?

If not, shouldn't be a problem. After removal you will need a heavy compound and/or wetsand possibly. Remember that the paint around the decals has aged significantly more than what's underneath.

edit* As far as I know that bike could be anywhere from 91-02+, so if the 'older bike' statement is wrong- forgive me.

if you can peel them, a little heat and a plastic razor blade will work.

Getting them off isn't the issue

It's a 96, sorry. I'm not sure if there is clear over the sticker.

Oh well, half planning on repainting/powder coating the whole bike over the winter anyways.
