a few months ago i my lip pierced (snake bites) and may end up having to take them out due to a job im trying to get.
when i was pierced the guy never gave any instructions for cleaning, etc or even how to take them out if i ever needed to. according to friends, i got the shittiest guy at the shop that day :hs:
when he was putting them in he was using a clamp-like tool. i dont remember what exactly it was because i was so pumped full of adrenaline being it was my first time :mamoru:
so my question is, how would i go about removing them? here's a close up of what the rings look like (picture isnt me).
ive tried spinning the balls but they just spin freely and dont actually do anything. :hs:

pop them out, or go back to the shop and have them remove it.

they are held in place by two small dimples on the sides of the balls. if they spin freely then he probably didn't clamp them really tight and you should be able to pop them out yourself. hold the ring in place with one hand and then push on one side of the ball with a finger and it should fall out.

otherwise go to a local shop there, even if they didn't do the piercing they should take them out for you unless they are total dicks.

Needle nosed pliers onthe INSIDE of the ring, widen, have a towel ready to catch the balls when they fall. Slide ring out. presto.

That is how captive bead rings are supposed to be, except they shouldn't even spin freely. Take the suggestions above to remove then or see any piercer (better)

i used to jsut get the rings and bite on them with my teeth to clsoe them enough so they dont fall out. iv'e lost a few brushing my teeth down the drain but it was easier for me since i work for a municipal.

doesn't really do anything to your teeth dude. besides they are not stainless steel its just acrylic easily bendable. but it works if you have a job and need to quickly take your lip rings out and put them back in.

well if they are acrylic sure, i was thinking stainless steel and that could chip teeth if you aren't careful.

the balls are supposed to pop out....if they cant then it is too tightly clamped and you can go to any shop for someone to help you take them out..i dont think they would charge anything
