If you use a Win98 bootdisk and do a fdisk /mbr what happens when you are using WinXP?

It's late and I am just thinking out loud.

On Windows XP fdisk isnt included like it is on windows 98. so i have no idea how to repair the MBR on XP or if a fdisk version from win98 would work

    ok so I was tired...

off the top of my head. a clean install of xp will fix the issue. if you cant format, then you might need to do an fdisk /mbr from a win 98 boot disk. but bear in mind that you will need to install the xp boot loader. or the mbr will be blank...
