Removing Dell P780 Monitor Case

    I can't seem to get this damn thing open... I have removed the 2 screws on the lower part of the back of the monitor... There don't seem to be any screws elsewhere, it's hanging up at the top of the monitor where the back of the case separates from the piece holding the screen and all of it's attachments... Help please?

    You sure you want to do that? There's more than enough voltage in there to kill you.
    Usually they have some sort of hinge towards the top that you should be able to lift up a bit.

    Yeah, you probably don't want to do that. CRT's are extremely dangerous.

    Don't mess around inside a CRT unless you know what you're doing.

    Thanks for the warnings, I've taken apart monitors and tv's before, mainly for cleaning, some for diagnostics... I took it apart, nothing on the boards were fried, dunno bout PS though it didn't smell or look funny from the outside (coulda just died)... tube looked ok...
