    hey!
i hooked my amp and subs up the other day, and everything was working fine, i ran the remote to a 'radio' fuse. apparently it was always hot, and it drained my battery after a week or so. so i was trying to find a 'switched' fuse that only came on when the key was turned. so i plugged it into a few others, and none of them worked. i found a few that ended up always on, so my choices were either always on, or always off.

http://www.miracerros.com/mustang/2000_fuse.html this is my fuse box diagram. i have tried many of those. does anyone have any ideas? i would rather hook this up somehow where i dont have to get behind my head unit again. :hsugh:

Why didn't you use the head unit's remote turn on in the first place?

Remote turn on lead is always the blue wire with the white stripe on aftermarket head units.

first thing you gotta think of when running a remote lead to your fuse box, "what comes on only when the key is in the on position?" I think it would be safe to say that not many things in your car run or get power without the key being turned, so pick one.
