Does anyone know anything about remote starters for cars? I've seen a few cheap ones online and wondering which brands are best.

Anything from DEI (www.directed.com). Viper, clifford, python are the major brands from them. Heard some things about Compustar, but they don't have the same rep.

If it's for a manual tranny, don't do it...unless you know what you're doing...and it sounds like you don't.

its basically the same, simple ghetto version is theres a sensor on the clutch you wire and it makes it so you dont need the clutch at all to start the car, key or remote... but like i said its the ghetto version
