so my two local gun shops are both over charging (not really a suprise) for a remington 870 express synthetic 18".

store 1 wants $479 for a folding stock version
store 2 wants $349 for the regular stock version

i like to support local business and all, but i swear im waiting for big 5 to have a sale. $299 here i come :hs: :o

$349 might not be that bad for a 870HD with the extension depending on what market you are in. Offer them $300-$310 cash and they will probably take it.

Yeah, I might do this. I also plan to call Big-5 to see if they can sell me one for the sale price even though its not on sale.
    This isnt a bad idea.

Yeah, I'll probably go in to Store 2 and offer $300 cash plus DROS and tax. If he says no, I'll say would you take $325 and if they say no again I'll thank him and leave.

does anything think if big-5 knows about sales before they're released to the public? like, if i called them tonight about a sale that happens tomorrow do you guys think they would tell me?

i think the eotech would be a great sight for a shotgun. it's got a huge 65 MOA circle that would be awesome for a shotgun.
