    1) does the remington PSS have a removable magazine?

    2) does the standard remington 700 bdl have a removable mag (i dont think so), if not how do you get it to accept removable mags?

    i really would prefer a removable mag, but i dont want to pay $100 more for the PSS if the standard VLS has the ability to take removable mags

    removable mags are overrated in bolt guns, it only really helps in unloading. It's slightly quicker to load with one, but 99.9% of the time loading speed really isn't an issue.

    Many times, the detachable mag systems either:

    A) Don't work reliably
    B) Cost a fucking fortune
    C) Have mags that cost a fucking fortune
    D) Don't add any real benefit
    E) All of the above.

    The PSS DM ( detachable mag) does...hard to find though.

    The 710 does have a DM.

    i was just curious because i like the advantage of having mags because then i don't have to dick with an internal one, my pudgy fingers get in the damn way when trying to load it, i just noticed that midwayusa.com had remington 700 mags for like $10 and thought that would be nice to have the ability to incorperate detachable mags to it, but the conversion is like $200 and that pretty much ruins it, i could get a better scope for it when the time comes instead of that

    ADL = fixed floor plate
    BDL = hinged floor plate
    CDL = not exactly sure, i think its just a reworked bdl with classic styling
    mountain = made for more rugged uses and carrying (lighter, different stock)
    the rest are mainly acronyms i think, forexample the VLS is a varmint rifle with a laminated stock, they explain most of it on the remington site

    the pss or the ltr are law enforcement rifles

    If I remember correctly:
    PSS= Police Sniper System
    LTR= Light Tactical Rifle

    I think the difference is the PSS has a 24" or 26" barrel, and the LTR has a 20".
