i can get a 11-87 police with low shot count, near new, for $860
come with that stock that holds 4 rounds with a pistol grip and rifle sights

will come to $895 after dros

    vs

an 11-87 homeland defense model with a bead sight, also with only 50 rounds through it... with the same stock config

    http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=216724

$750 shipped, which means $70 to dros and accept... total $820

from what i read, the homeland dfense model is the police model with a 20in barrel so i don't know why i would opt for the actual police version?

    help!

does either shotgun have removable choke tubes. That would be a big factor. Must have removable chokes.

    I also saw this today...

Benelli M2. Will need some parts like a longer tube but some tuning if you want it super slick but it has potential for being a much more bad ass shotgun than a remington.

I can't tell what lenght barrel is on it. I would call and see.

If you don't know turners is the big gun store chain in So Cal. There is one in Pasadena as well as the surrounding areas.

best would be 21 or 22, then 18, then 24, then the longest i'd go is 26

yeah it's a tough decision. The price is right but the barrel is too long on the benelli. The remington is ok price but it's not a benelli and still needs some work like the easy loader.

I personally am pretty happy with my 870 tactical for home defense. Short but holds lots of shells. Put an ATI adjustable stock on it, set it at the shortest setting, and it's somewhere safe but accessable.

You don't want a really long gun for home defense.

I like 1100's (have ran them all my life for wing shooting and clays games), but for that kinda money I'd rather have a Benelli.

I'm picking up my M2 today :coolugh:

    damn it

i was all set to get the 11-87 with the 20in barrel

and then this benelli m2 ad :wtc:

tax and dros makes it $1025
    barrel would be another $300
    tube would be $75

puts me in the m4 category

    rinse, and repeat :wtc:

well, that "home defense" is spf but they look identical. an 1187P is the same shit but that "HD" has a speedfeed stock setup.

same shit so i'd go witch whichever is cheaper

but no benelli no care and all that jazz

yeah, i think i'm just gonna go with the homeland homie gun

i'm never gonna be hardcore enough to appreciate what the benelli can do vs this...

plus, i can use the extra $500 to make it more mall cop

Go to turners and handle a new benelli and a new 11/87. Unfortunately you probably will change your mind.
