Do any progams exist that you can install and you can set it so on a certain day and at a certain time it will give you a reminder on your PC? There's an event I want to go to on December 11th but i'm almost guaranteed to forget about it so I want to find a program or something that will give me a reminder on December 10th, lol.

    Thanks a lot

If you use Microsoft Outlook as your email program, it has it. Otherwise there's a bunch of other ones.

and that's Outlook, not Outlook express.

For a free option, try out Palm Desktop give it a click
It's completely free. Where it ask you which PDA you have, just pick one it doesn't matter, you don't have to have a Palm PDA to get the program.
Includes a day planner (with alarm reminder), notepad, expense tracker, address book, to-do list and other things.

Kinda crude, but you could use the windows task scheduler to start windows media player at a specific date and time and have it play back a mp3, video, or maybe a voice recording.
