Too wired to sleep so I started trying to think of ways to get back in shape after I recover.

I fractured my fibula in mid January. Bone feels pretty good right now from the little I can move it in my cast, and I've been cheating and putting weight on it a bit here and there and it seems good to go.

However, I went for an MRI last week and it looks like I fucked the ligament at the base of the fib/tib. So this may mean surgery or lots of physio, I'll know for sure next week after I see a civvy specialist.

Last time the cast came off I noticed my calf muscle is completely gone from atrophy. So, concurrently with physio, what do you guys think of:

    4x week
    start with 2.5-3k run 2x/week
    say 4k ruck w/20-30 lbs 2x/week
+ gym time on the weekend just to build the left leg back up and one rest day?

increasing distances and weight 10% a week, too aggressive or too timid?

I know its early to be thinking about this but I'd like input from people who have had broken legs and such :hs:
