I'm reformatting a mac mini so I can sell it off, the version of OSX I have is 10.2 I think. How important are Zero All Data, 8-Way-WriteOvers, etc in erasing data?

Do mac's accumulate data and build it up to a pile of worthless nothing like windblows machines?

I know when I had a compaq it was always blazing fast after a reformat and 6 months later it was clogged.
