Hey OT. I recently reformatted my wifes laptop (6yo compaq). upon reinstallation of windows (not the original cd's) her wireless connection was not showing in the network connections section of the control panel. I went to the laptop's website (compaq) and downloaded the original drivers (which sz they contain the wireless card's drivers too), but still cannot get it to show. Any ideas on what to do OT? I laso tried going into the bios to 'enable' a wireless card feature or something...and nothing is there. I hope you all can help me before my wife kills me

Look in device manager to see if the wireless card drivers are installed or not.
