or just leave it the way it is
Leave that shit alone, it's hardly broken in. It gives the gun character. It shows you spend more time behind the trigger or in the holster than under a light box.
Painting the letters on your slide is pretty rice to me. Besides, if you wanted a pretty gun, you shouldn't have bought a Glock. Glocks are for shooting.
it's a glock, leave it
u got it
the worn areas on the slide won't rust will it?
the slide of a glock is unaware of this thing you call "rust"
Tenifer treatment is actually in the metal a good ways down. My Glock 17 is worn down about that much around the edges and has not rusted on me. I do have a Glock 35 that has rusted just a little bit, but that's because a good amount of material is worn from it.
<-- on the leave it bandwagon, be proud that you use your gun
Just leave it
if you're that worried about looks, minus whale refinish it pink.
Leave it alone.
If you must get it refinished, I would send it to Glock and have them do it for $45 including return shipping.
I think you'll be fine. My XD is worn more than that and it hasn't rusted.
It's a Glock, it's not supposed to be pretty. The money you would spend on refinishing it? Buy some more ammo.
Zombies do not care about a worn slide.
The tenifer is what you can see when you see wear on the slide. The tenifer coated slide metal is then parkerized. What wears off is the parkerizing.
I say go for the armor black. But thats just my 2 pennies. Don't listen to me though. It's your gun. Don't listen to anybody. If you want it to look nice then do it, if you don't then just keep it the way it is. There isn't anything wrong with keeping a gun looking good, just as long as it isn't a safe queen. Which it obviously is not. blah blah blah...
I don't think it looks bad at all, but if I was going to refinish it I'd do something other than black.
NP3 would look slick, be slick, and protect well. IonBond DLC would be straight balla.
I think they look cool refinished, but I'd just leave it.
It's never going to look pretty... don't waste your money
