clintdavis.net v1 started around 2005... sooo time for redesign. :noes:
    my little rules...
    1. EASY to navigate
    -navigation controls always in site
    -fast loading
    2. NO flash (clean CSS and HTML)
    3. no bright colors to distract from photos/images

first mock-up, tell me what'cha think
    [IMG]
    :hsd:

pics/images will scroll horizontally, including the "PEOPLE" text

I was going to complain about the crop on the chick's face, then i realized it's a screencap. nice though, looks simple

THANK YOU for not using Flash. I hate Flash. I get completely turned off to any site that uses it. A proper CSS design is so much better and faster.

i'm pleasing the OTAH?!? holy shit
can't wait to splice it up and make it a functional website... i still have a few speedbumps to get over to figure out how to do it, but i'll refer to my inspiration site constantly.

xenon, i dunno, last website i did for someone I charged a plane ticket, then a 580ex... so about $500 :wiggle:
    http://www.backhomeentertainment.net/
    http://www.benhowardphoto.com/
but if i do one, i won't make it TOO similar to mine :p

I like it, but if I'm going to spend that much I'd just go for a bludomain http://bludomain.com/websites.cfm?wcID=5

ya, honestly i don't encourage people to use me for web, it's more of a personal service for myself i picked up :hs: And i'm a super busy guy, so if i'm going to do a website, i wouldn't be happy charging anything less.

I know enough to make a decent website, and not go through bludomain.
I've directed so many people to bludomain.com

    Thanks though, i'm flattered

I went from a flash website to now minimal flash with xml for the photos and I am working towards css and javascript, I just need to become more familiar with css :big grin: www.spkphotos.com

nice layout, clean and very simple.
just needs more portraits, couples, musicians :p
looks like most of your shots are landscape

i'd say add a cool pattern to the background in the stretchable sections to the left and right of the photos. similar to mah blog http://blog.clintdavis.net/

oh wow, really? that my favorite part!
i might make it a little smaller at least.
Cool that you can actually read it as "CD", because it's actually a backwards "C"

    high-res capable...
pics that have a high-res option will have an icon (described in a key) watermarked on the photo, indicating to the user it's clickable :wiggle:
