What are F&N's thoughts on red meat consumption? Should it be limited to once or twice a week? I much prefer it over chicken, but I've always heard that too much is really bad for you, bad for digestion etc..

Unless you are trying to compete professionally or something I see no reason to limit your intake of a good protein source.

Goddamnit. This isn't main forum. Quit typing like your some hotty, or like we care. You're old, fat, and 2 consecutive bad days from self-swallowing a bullet. Get a clue.

And as for the answer: I eat as much red meat as I possibly can. Same goes with all quality protein sources.

My cousin and I were having ribeyes last night and he asked me if eating red meat all the time was bad because his parents said it clogs your arteries. It should be fine unless you either have a heart problem or are at high risk for it? :dunno:

red meat doesn't clog your arteries, high quantities of saturated fats do. it depends on the cut of the meat...some types of red meat are lower in fat content than some portions of chicken or turkey.

a lean cut of meat like something from the round has very little fat and is nearly all protein.

granted a ribeye is one of the fattier cuts you can have.

Bottom roast and sirloin are going to be the best cuts if saturated fat is a concern

And try organic, grass fed, free range cows. They'll be more expensive, but studies prove that they are much lower in saturated fats.

People tell you to lose weight but all you do is complain about how hard your life is. Which is why you will never lose weight unless you decide to take some personal responsibility.

you should spend less time on internet forums and more time at the gym doing cardio. you have it in you to fix your problems you just have to get the willpower.

Red meat just doesnt appeal to me anymore. I just eat chicken breast, lean fish, and on occation pork. I might have a steak from time to time, but I never eat any ground up mystery meat anymore (hamburger/hotdog/sausage).
