I would like to get one for my 1911. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking to spend $100 or less on the sight itself.

wat? Increased accuracy maybe if you aren't good with the Iron sights, but as far as aquiring a target and putting rounds down range faster i dunno about that.

some people find relflex sights a little easier to use on a pistol, so check those out too.

um, NO. If you are so horrible that you can't hit a man-sized target with a handgun, then you shouldn't be using one.

I have that same Tasco on my 22/45. It looks kind of goofy sitting up on the pistol but it works really well for $35 or whatever I paid for it.

Have you ever fired a gun before? Because this is usually the kind of blanket statement that tools who have never done something use to convince others they have.

Can you hit a man-sized target at twenty feet? What if he is moving? What if it is night? What if its not a man?

Why am I bothering. Since I forgot to specificy 'no tools please' in the thread title, your bumbling in here with your pants around your ankles and the neighbors dogshit still greasing your asparagus is really my fault afterall.

Yeah. Or it could have been the 30 year British paratrooper veteran uncle of mine who convinced me to buy one. After I tried it out on his glock, which is really my old glock. And it seemed pretty cool. For $30.

But yeah, you keep going for that ricer comparison there Julie. It seems to be going well for you.

For most people...its much quicker to line up a dot to the target than it is to line up the rear sight with the front and then to the target :dunno:
