I was wondering what the best way to record or "capture" streamed music would be. I'm not sure if i'de have to get a video capture card then just capture the audio that way, or if there is a special sound card that can do it. Id'e imagine that there is some sort of software that could do this also but i'm not sure what to do or where to look. If anybody's got some suggestions it would be great :0

    thnx

I have cooledit pro and occassionally use it if I absolutely have to. Depending on what format you want to rip, there are a few solutions out there.

ASFrecorder for instance does Microsoft's ASX/ASF format. There is a plugin for Winamp that doe shoutcast rips. There are others that do REAL's.. etc.

Doing it to WAV then convert may degrade the quality.
