I just got a pair of Alpine Type R's. They are 4ohm DVC's. Can someone recommend a good amp to push them with. I'm not looking for competition just a good sounding setup.
    Thanks

it'll do about 500 watts. max. go find you a real 500 watt amp, like a rockford or something, and use that, 4 ohms mono (bridged). Or i don't know how they are now, but at one point, kenwood had a 600w max amp that A LOT of people were using for 2 subs. it wasn't the greatest sound, but it got fairly loud, and was reliable as hell.

nah, i was talking about a 2 channel amp they had. but if you get a mono amp, it needs to be 1 ohm stable
