That's right, I will be in the market for a new laptop. I will be flying out to Kuwait, and will be looking tp purchase a laptop so that I can remain in contact with friends and family.

I need something that can play some games and maybe has a built in webcam so I can see my family while I talk to them.

    Any suggestions?!

Asus R1F tablet. It's compact, it's got Core 2 Duo, and it has a variety of input options: you can type, speak, or write on the screen. Very convenient.

It also has a slot-loading DVD drive, so you don't have to worry about busting off a slide-out tray.

It's not the greatest for playing games, though; it's got Intel graphics. That said, for anything other than games, the Core 2 Duo option will burn through your work like a torched oil well. :mamoru:
