About to renew my contract with Verizon. I'm looking at the V3m, but I read that you cant use the mp3 player unless the phone is flipped open. Any recommendations on another phone to look at? :)

if they still have the e815, that is a pretty sweet phone. i just got one through alltel, and it is exactly like the razr except not sleek and thin, plus it has a transflash slot FTW.
the V3c will play mp3s with the flip closed, but maybe the V3m has something different with that. you can always easily change the seem (like a registry for the phone) to change that setting on the V3m if that is how it is.

More than likely yes. But the Q really shines when you have full service. Other than that, its a great phone.

I have heard the SLVR is comming as well as the KRZR you might want to think about them. I would reccomend the Q, but it would be useless without data.

I just upgraded to the Chocolate bar. It's great compared to my old VX4500, but the TV commercials are definitely overhyped. Has a decent 1.3 megapixel camera, and the screen resolution is really nice. Bluetooth capable as well.

It's easy on the eyes, and preliminary testing says that chicks really dig it.

Downsides: the mp3 player eats up the battery life; only about 3 hours. Plus you're stuck with the shitty default ringtones, and there's no speakerphone.

If interested, you can get the phone off the VW website for pretty cheap... They make the money off of all the accessories for it.

I have an e815 but recently played with the LG VX8300. It seems to be a comparable phone and I liked some of it's features better than I do those on my Motorola.
