So I'm looking to pick up a couple of light stands/umbrellas and maybe a softbox to do some portraits. I'm looking on ebay and there seems to be several different studio kits from anywhere between $25 and $200.

I don't need anything serious but I'd rather cough up some extra change to buy gear that won't break down or give me any shit when trying to use them outdoors.

    Any help is much appreciated!

that Impact set you posted was the first set I ever purchased and learned on. I still have it to this day. I did replace the umbrellas since they were kinda cheap. Stands and swivels are still working like a charm though. a little flimsy for strobes. Perfect for speedlights though.

I have the 9.5' Heavy Duty Air Cushioned stand...it works pretty good. I also have a 60" westcott umbrella that is made very well too. Both were about $30-40
