Must be iPhone compatible. I'm sick of the ones that came with it, they are too short and don't stay in. I'm a cheap ass, so cheaper = better

    .

My ears don't hold the ear-plug headphones, so I always used the wrap-around by default but they're great for exercise as they stay on your head easily.

I use those too, but the sound quality isn't all that good. Does an alright job of drowning out the fuckheads at the gym/walking to and from class, and I guess that's all that matters. :o

Koss KSC-75. They slide over your ear and stay in place really well when running or laying on a bench or anything. And they'll work with first gen iphones.

They're like $10 so if you fuck them up its no big deal.

Try $4.38. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3396 I ordered two of these. They are great. High treble and bass. They probably work as well as any other in ear earphones. Too cheap to pass up, just try it you might like it. Only downside is the company is based in HK so it takes two weeks to arrive. But for GOOD earphones for under 5 bucks? Why the fuck not..

Also, the wire to those earphones are like thin and rope material so they can never tear or rip like those gay Iphone earphones that come with the IPOD. Mine ripped when i did cardio so i ordered these.

I don't think sound quality is so absolutely important in gym headphones anyway. The stock Ipod ones are what i've been using, but now that I am going to start cutting down again I am going to buy some headphones with a "wrap-around" capability. This way they don't fall off when I am jump roping, playing Bball, etc...

Get ones with some padding though. I had those plastic sony ones back in the day and they stayed on, but just always hurt my inner ear after like 30min.

Yeah I have some baller ass Sennheiser HD600's I use at home but when lifting I need something thats going to stay in place and be able to take a little abuse. Plus from what I've heard sennheisers earbuds aren't all that great.

Although I was thinking about getting some Ultimate Ears or Shure in-ear phones and those can get pretty expensive. Heard good thing about the new V-Modas too. plus I'm not sure if I want to totally deafen myself while outside running.

    Ear buds.

I have apple ear buds (not the ones that come with the ipod) and then I have a pair of ear buds that came with a dell laptop that are pretty BOSS.

I must have fucked up ears or something because I have yet to find a pair of earbuds that would either fit in my ear, stay in place, or that was comfortable. The apple ones hurt like hell once I wedge them in there and they have a tendency to fall out.
