bomb queen is a villain who controls a city of criminals where there is no real law, rape and pedophilia are common place. people getting blow up and shot, stabbed and then raped all the time. she fights heroes and sometimes other villains along the way. oh and she has a cat. it's actually pretty  i picked it up the first time because of the mad cleavage on the cover. :o but then i totally got into it. it's a funny series.

I know there's already a thread about this, but Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere is worth a read.

Sandman is my favorite GN. If you're looking for something different from the stand comic book fare, I recommend Blankets, Will Eisner's Contract With God Trilogy, and Jimmy Corigan, The Smartest Kid On Earth.

I just read Guy Davis' The Marquis: Danse Macabre for the first time. It was absolutely class, really a good read.
