I'm using some energizer 2500mAh rechargables right now, but they take pretty much all day or night to recharge and they're starting to not hold a charge for long. so I need to buy a few more sets of batteries, but i figure I midaswell upgrade to a better system that hopefully charges quicker

    suggestions? experiences?

btw, these are for a flash

I use Radio Shack's 15min rechargeable IC3 batteries and Energizer 15 min rechargeable as well. I haven't had any problems with them, and they last a lot longer than standard Energizer/Duracell batteries.

I've been really happy with my Enloops. Good quality and affordable.

Hard to say. I haven't any batteries fully discharged yet but the longest it took my charger to fully charge four almost dead batteries was about 3 or 4 hours.

i thought the depletion rate depends on the battery, not the charger

anytime i've ever 'quickcharged' any of my aa's they have seemed to die fast. that's talking from what i've experienced first hand, might not be what the theory says. at weddings i burn through a shitload of aa's. i usually have two sets of 20(one for each flash) and in the past when i got to the reception venue i'd pop a few on and quick charge them for backup. but they always sucked, so i just bought more aa's lol.

interesting. well, i don't need a 15 minute charge anyways. i just hate having to wait more than 3 or 4 hours....thats a length of time that can be very inconvenient

that looks awesome  but what's with the picture about "reviving a completely dead cell" with a paperclip? don't you just put the batteries in the charger and they charge?

I bought 20, for 40 bucks a few years ago. I use them for everything. I also use a remote, from a remote control car to charge them. Charges 8 at a time.

are your batteries dying that quickly? I can go out several nights a week shooting in clubs and never have to replace my batteries. Granted, I am using the 5th battery "quick cycle" on my sb800 but still, I don't replace mine very often at all.

:werd: I have 20AA's of eneloops. I found 3 sets on closeout at Circuit City and I bought them all ($9.95 a 4 pack)....CC is no longer going to carry the eneloops.
