Currently have a linksys, but its a piece of shit, disconnects randomly. So I need a new non-linksys one. Must be reliable, easy to open ports, and cheap.

Linksys RV042 is gonna be if you want a reasonably in-expensive one.

Dlink, netgear, and the others are all crap.

The RV042 is a good 802.3 SOHO router.

linksys is the company to go with despite your bad luck so far with them.

I've had good luck with Netgear, but like everything else electronic, it's more or less luck of the draw.

Have you checked for firmware updates? I have one, (but it's not being used anymore) and it was always fine.

:ugh: one handles network address translation or layer 3 routing between networks... and the other does not.

    Truth.

Though personally I was getting ready to come in here and say pick up a used Cisco 2600 series, even though you'd have to learn a bit of IOS :mamoru:
