I'm looking into getting a new digital camera (old one is a 4 year old Kodak). What would be a good camera to get for say... 300 or less? It would mainly be for outdoor/nature shots. Any recommendations from the digital camera crew?

A great P & S with full manual control is the A620. I have it as a club cam.
If you dont care about manual controls then any camera will do.
Canon does make a good cam IMHO.

You will take better pictures when using a Canon. Sandisk cards save sharper images too.

storing it in a lowepro bag keeps the sensor magnitised for better colours

    @ Hua and mobbarley
but i agree on the A620, or for a bit less money the A610. Remember to budget for at least a 512MB SD card too (presuming its a camera that uses SD cards)
