we recommend you to go best buy or local camera shop and hold and play with each one and figure out for yourself which one fits your needs. also, stick with the top 4 (nikon, canon, fuji and sony). Your total is $4.73, please pull up to the second window.

    under $750???

Under $300 you'll get something near perfect. Not sure I've ever seen a super small/slim camera for over $500 or so. Don't go Best Buy, camera shops are fine, but the internet has the widest selection (i.e.. newegg.com, amazon.com...)

my biggest peice of advice i can give is stay the hell away from a kodak camera.

best way of putting it is that they are for noobs.

everything about them is poorly designed.

I have two Canon's and love them and I would look into the PowerShot SD550, I like the large display.

Aren't you a professional photographer in Houston or am I thinking of someone else that has that user name?

I threw the pro word out there because he does it as a career.

If so, why the hell is he asking us about point and shoots? That seems off.

lugging around a 1dS or D2X for every day purposes is a pain in the ass;)

  15. Nikon has a sweet 8megapixel camera that just came out not too long ago. It's small enough to fit in your pocket and it's only about $500 :bigthumb:

Hmm fuckin sweet... I like that SD550. Does it have a night shot mode (you know, that mode where everything appears in green)? And yeah I'm probably the guy that Snowballer was referring to. I need something slim that fits into my pocket so I can sneak it into places where a DSLR might look out of place. I shoot adult content for a living, so we take pics in all sorts of weird locales. Bookstores, movie theaters, wherever. "professional photography" at its finest :p

    Image parameters

    • Vivid
    • Neutral
    • Low sharpening
    • Black and white
    • My colors (9 settings)

I think with Image parameters setting you can choose a Vivid Green color filter setting with the SD550. I don't own one, but like them alot. Someone here may have one to let you know, but other than that you get a small camera that takes great pics with a sweet display.
