I'm looking to keep it around $100-$140 (after mail in rebates if any apply).

However, I am looking at many of these nvidia chipset cards and see that they do dual monitor support. I have two vga monitors, and many of these cards come with an adapter to convert the dvi to a vga. But there are so many different chipsets from nvidia that I dont know what to go with.

I can get a 5700LE video card with 256mb ram for $112 from new egg, but I can get the 5700 ultra for $127 but it has only 128mb. I dont game at all, I mostly do internet, programming, some photoshop & web developement, and video editing. I like the dual monitors for programming. Any suggestions on cards, or direction to go in terms of waht is more important for me CPU or ram

IMO the GeForce FX 5900 XT would do the trick for you, it's around 200$ The 5700 is being bashed upon wherever i go , http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/131/
this FX 5900 XT seems to offer a new set of technology, that with a little more investment makes it more worth the price.

128mb is more then sufficient, taking in account that your not planning on playing games on it.

Is there any other cheaper alternatives? That card is $193 at newegg.

Does that ati support dual monitors? Which nvidia chip would it be comparable to?

That's an ATI chipset, not an nVidia.

I have an FX5200 that will soon be running dual 19's. I've hooked up duals just to try it out and they work fine. If you don't need anything fancy then it's a decent cheap card.
