I am looking for a BBS (bulletin board service/message board) that I can use for a website I am designing.

The priorities for this BBS are:

    Easy install.
    Continued support.
Simple to administer (the BBS will only have roughly 40 users).

Nothing fancy or complicated is needed. Thanks for any recommendations provided.

Only 40 users? phpBB or SMF, although I heard about a remote code exploit with SMF recently. Both are longstanding open source forums.

If money means nothing and you have $200 upfront and $100 a year to spare for the license, vBulletin has a lot of nice features, support, frequent bugfix releases, and lots of mods.
