This G35 took me 4.5 hours inside & out last Friday. Should have been a 7-8 hour job as only 85% of the scratches are gone- but customer gets what customer pays for. He originally contacted me for just a one step which wouldn't have done dick to this paint. Poli-Seal VS This car?

Schlegel Wool pad w/ Meguiars Diamond Cut
    3M Grey foam w/ Ardex Seal B
    Hand applied Collinite Insulator

Would have loved to do some touch up paint and hit it harder with the woolie and slip in another step for foam pad and lighter compound. Could have been "detailer" great, instead of just "customer" great. Know what I mean?

Nice job regardless, the paint looks so much better.

I hear ya on detailer vs customer expecations. I had a customer whose 740 I was polishing. He told me it wasn't necessary, the car only had to be good enough for his eyes, not mine. Then he added "my eyes ain't that great". As long as the car shined, he was happy. Didn't give a shit about the swirls. Go figure.

+1 Most of the people looking for "just a detail" only care if the paint is shiny and the tires greasy.

    If they only knew.
