How do you like it? That was my first lens I got for my D100.. I'm now trying to get a better zoom and aiming for the Sigma 70-200 HSM w/ 1.4 Tele

Its wonderful. I was using a temp Sigma 28-80 on my D100 until I bought so the difference is night and day. My next purchase will probably be a SB-80DX, a 50mm f/1.8 for low light and ubersharpness and probably a Microdrive. I'm kinda strapped on cash right now but I want to take advantadge of the double rebates.

I might be looking to pick up a 80-200 f/2.8 soon as well because prices should drop when the new 70-200 f/2.8 VR comes out.

    Even with the 24mm I still want a bit more wide angle though. Too bad I can't afford a 17-35 f/2.8 :(.

Yea.. the Nikon 17-35 AFS is a bit on the expensive side.. What do you mainly shoot? Or you just shoot anything in sight? :)

    :bigthumb:

I did my portfolio on architecture last year and from there I've kind of branched into nature photography and candids. The 24-85 is perfect for my needs...except I need a little more speed and wide angle. Hence I'm going to be saving up for a used 17-35. Still haven't decided if I'm going to sell my 70-300ED and buy a new 80-200 AF-S or get a used 17-35 AF-S.

Nikon is giving double rebate on some lenses and the 24-85 AFS is special because its actually quite a sharp lens and affordable for AFS.. it has no VR feature though.
