I think I filed the lug down too much.
Why would you do such a thing?
To get it to slide through the part on the frame. I finally got a black marker to see where it was rubbing and filed that specific area.
How tight should it be?
Doesn't really matter. I suppose tighter would be better for accuracy purposes, but I've had Kadet kits rattle like crazy and still do fine for dicking around with. They tend to wear in a tad bit loose IME, even if starting from being barely-able-to-get-on-tight by taking them off/on.
What ammo does it like? All I have is Federal Bulk and CCI Standard Velocity for my CZ 452.
This guy's review was one reason why I bought the P229R DAK as my first gun. Just found this one on the downrange.tv forum.
that Remington shit is dirty. I have an ammo can with ONLY that ammo
Just got back from the range. Started out with 15 CCI Mini-Mag HV, 10 CCI stnard velocity, and the rest Federal bulk. Had a stove pipe on the 57th round. Shot ~105 total. Temp is in the low 40's with mild wind so I wasnt shooting for groups but I was getting around 3-4 inches at 15 yards with semi rapid fire.
Loading the mags are a bitch. Supposedly HKS is coming out with a speedloader (or you can modify an existing one).
Slide stop doesnt work well at home when racking the slide but had no problems at the range.
