I`m looking for a four channel amp that will properly power this setup.

    Needs to be:

    4-Channel
    Reasonably Priced
Reasonably Powerful (I don't need 150 watts a channel, or some outrageous amount of power)

What would be a reasonable match for this seteup?

    Alpine Type R 6.5" Rear
Alpine Type R 6.5" Front Components
    No Sub.

They have been known to noise issues. You hear about it quite often over at CAF

    I'd suggest this

I just installed the 4220 and absolutley love it. I notice no difference in output or SQ after switching to it from a JL 300/2

I haven't had any issues, but mine is just one of many so who knows.

So you guys are feelin' US Acoustics-eh? All the stats/features seem right on.

At that price, I would take any of those 3 :big grin:

Is US Acoustics really a good brand, or just "good enough?"

Fill me in more on US Acoustics and Soundstreams place in the market if you can. To fill you in, I was lookin' at an alpine 55w x4 amp for $220 something- are alpine amps all name and no performance?

I'm not sure which alpine amp that is but my brother in law is running a 4 channel V-12 amp to alpine type-r components front and rear and they sound pretty damn good. He's also running a Monoblock V-12 to Type-R subs and they sound pretty good as well.

And I'm not sure where Usacoustics fits in the market. It was recommended to me by 04 here a while ago and I haven't had any complaints.

Why not go with an alpine. They are a bit more expensive but they sound awesome and have the power you need.

I've had a lot of issues with U.S. Acoustics amps...glad I found out because I was considering buying one at a time.... I didn't get one out of skepticism and then my experience with them later was :ugh: .. I could literally use the same grounding point and other connections and change amps, and lose the noise issue, I've heard about it quite often as well..

I'd check out the deals on www.cbrstereo.com for the phoenix gold tantrums, damn good prices

My friend has botha US Acoustics mono amp and a soundstream rubicon 4 channel amp. The us acoustics amp is an excellent amp, puts out great power and there never have been any issues with it. I havent heard the soundstream yet but when we installed it i was highly impressed with the build quality.
