You can get a Porter Cable with pads for less than $200. Someone will have to look up the actual number for the unit b/c I don't know off hand.

I personally have a DeWalt DW443 and I've seen it online for less than $200 also. Comes with a hook and loop pad on it.

Porter Cable 7336 is the one that I have. Works great. You can pick it up at Lowes for around $100 or maybe a little more then order a pad and backplate kit from one of the many sites.

What he said. Great machine. www.exceldetail.com has pads and backing plates or find a local Meguiars professional products distributor in your area (locator on www.meguiars.com) and get pads (6.5") and a backing plate there. Take the pad it comes with and toss it in the trash, it is the only safe place for it.
